All Images Shot On My £107 Secondhand Canon 40D and Canon 24mm 2.8 STM
Week 1 – 11/11/18 – Sally B
Week one of my new project. One image per week using the Canon 40D and the 24mm f2.8 STM pancake lens. Today’s image comes from the B-17 Flying Fortress based at the Imperial War Museum in Duxford,Cambridge. The aircraft was used in the 1990 film “The Memphis Belle”.
Week 2 – 18/11/18 – Norwich Market After Dark
Week 2. I was wondering around the market in Norwich, turned a corner and it just looked magical. This could be somewhere else in the world. The warm glowing golden light made it very inviting. Just goes to prove that you can make great low light static images from the Canon 40D. I wasn’t even pushing the camera to get this photograph.
Week 3 – 25/11/18 – Autumn
Week 3 already. Who can fail to notice all the leaves on the ground at the moment in different shades of orange and brown. So whilst my wife was getting her hair cut in Wymondham on Friday I walked up to the Abbey and found this orange leaf laying on a tree stump. I liked the way the orange contrasts with the grey of the bark and took a quick picture.
Week 4 – 02/12/18 – Latte
Week 4 and I had to rush to find an image today as I was photographing a wedding all day yesterday. But thanks to John Lewis and a short break I took this in the coffee shop on the mezzanine floor on a table. I was hoping for a nice tree/leaf type finish but it was the end of the day and I suspect the the person making it probably had quite enough of that nonsense for the weekend!
Week 5 – 09/12/18 – Norwich Christmas Market
No project like this could be without an olives on a stall photograph. So imagine my delight when I found such a French stall at the Norwich Christmas market on Saturday.
A new image taken with this camera and lens will be added Sunday next week. You don’t need the newest cameras or the best lenses to enjoy photography.
