The Winter Gardens at Great Yarmouth is a Victorian ironwork glasshouse and a Grade II listed building. It has been closed to the public for 16 years. It was placed in its current location in 1903 when purchased and transported from Tourquay. It has now been awarded a £12 million grant to restore it.
My budget-friendly Canon 40D *purchased for £75) was used to take these images. I added a polariser to the lens (Canon 24mm f2.8 pancake) to saturate the colours more. Canon colours stand out on a summer’s day.
